Socio-Economic Status and Juvenile Delinquency

In streets of struggle, where poverty reigns
A youthful cry, with futures in chains
Limited options, and resources scarce
Leads to desperation, and a troubled stance

Low-income homes, with stress and strife
Parental struggles, and a child's lost life
Unmet needs, and unfulfilled dreams
Fuel the fire, of juvenile schemes

Education's key, but doors are locked
Opportunities scarce, and futures blocked
Jobless parents, with no way to provide
Leave children vulnerable to the streets' tide

Neighborhoods plagued, by crime and fear
Youthful energy, misdirected here
Gangs and violence, a deadly allure
A false sense of belonging, in a world obscure

Socio-economic chains, that bind and sway
Influence choices, in a troubled way
Delinquency rises, as hopes decay
A cycle of strife, in a world gone gray

Break the chains, and lift the veil
Provide opportunities, and education's sail
Empower families, and communities too
To give youth a chance, to make a brighter hue.

Delinquency

It was a complete disaster.
I will listen to moon tonight, while
writing your name
on bikini top,

holding the pigeons. The
birds had abandoned the
walnut tree in haste. Between
them can you see a butchered

image of little god, who
broke the cold chain of flirting
and sat on a rosette of
tears blocking the sun ?

Was it true that death always
sits on our shoulders like an
owl undocking the life for piercing
contentious lips ?

"Time is the thief you cannot banish."
                                   Phyllis Mc Ginley, Writer, 1905 - 1978

if you cannot beat them join the crowd of armed unkind robbers

otherwise you end up with identity fraud at the hands of the thugs

instead rule and divide the hourglass one step at every moment

synchronize what must be said and done and count the rewards

an imposed time machine is a wicked illusion and criminal offence

pick your own pockets calm rapid paces and speed up your apathy

turning tides do not steal pebbles from beaches

the sun never asks where her rays have gone to

moons follow their path without wondering when

a waterfall keeps its composure even when falling

cancel direct debit to people who don’t care for you

standing orders are not written in hard grafted stone

debts can be cleared and overdrafts countervailed

the only mortgage you have is to live to your tempo

a bit of rhythm helps when the pendulum swings backwards and forth

rhymes a chime for when the final bell takes its toll as the coffin lies vacant

if you have not filled it with meaning before permanence rests in the grave

a time sheet spread out over nothingness infringes upon the tick tock of joy

imposters can try as hard as they want to steel your dial

will try to bend all the hands of fortune magic and fate but

destiny comes from the springs rewound at every dawn

vacant echoes will be enriched with challenging meter

when the ultimate curtain unveils to your own applause

as the poachers admit defeat and fall on swift swords

feel free to mock burglars and mischievous muggers

a dead man’s pockets are full of victory’s memories

Delinquency

The hell with anything
You have to say
You never loved me
Not even one damn day
Nothing that you ever said
Had any substance
I was a fool for being so reluctant
The warnings in front of me
That reflected you and I
Were never meant to be
Now I am in an unredeemed abyss
Because I’ve strayed
From marital bliss
In my heart I knew that
You were always a great risk
Where do I venture from here?
After all the squandered years
I must learn how to forgive
The agony I’ve endured
All the while you misused
My devotion and certainty
Now I know I’ve had enough
Of the abuse you inflicted on me
I just wish I could see
Of what my future is to be

REALITY OF THE STREET

REALITY OF THE STREET

Bellow of a delinquency
Wrapped in the dust of lust
To the brim loaded with crust
Made its way to the prime lord
Who says to the dagger to strike!

Will say of the lofty and ridden
Loathed by the street; despised
Needed a home on the lawn of ooze
His heart was kindled to be terrifying
Found his way to the lord of the dark
Who says to the axe to suck and pierce!

Will say of her inn filled with wrath
Questioned and jettisoned on a card
The query to reason why he was born!
Called on her maidens to none cared
Watched her mothers breasts sick in wrinkles
As his father's yell from afar set the kid on race

Birthed on the street to a hard kick
Even the red dust dawn! Wanted a taste
Who'll ever save the street from jeopardy
The street is red on shackle's holds, not comedy
On the lifeline of no blood , no glory ; no melody

On the bed of woods, where spiders travail
To the altar of axe where loggerheads flee
Who does not like to sleep on a bed of rose?
Yet! Life set its loose from the hem of the street
An axe to the dagger to strike in vengeance!

Hard on , these grounds so rocky
Forthright to the beckon of the weak
Let's make it a space to live, survival
Such a green light that made all to a truce
The way presented; was shown in a picture
As life came back to the corridors of the street

How long shall abnormally reside with us?
To what length shall we move; to be humane?
Shall the street be, lit with the light of hope
Shall the corners be, free from human rotteness?
And the edges be kind to the weak to pass through?

To no spite we'll call ourselves human
To the cost we can all afford to bare
With water and food abundant to share
With a shower of love; we'll endure to feel
At these ; the society will bloom in blue

Gather in the crooks and crannies
To the applause of the growth created
On the street accepted for all to share
The lounging of belonging to same clan
Street lucid to accept on a reality of togetherness
