Best Deathhope Poems

You Were {rip Verna}

You were my moms best friend
and like a sister to me beacuse
you acted so young and you will always
be i know your dead but a part of you
yet remains ill always miss your jokes
and the times you sang.

I never wouldve thought
you would leave o so soon until
you did now what am i to do
I keep asking god why did he
take you away maybe it was
for the best hope you enjoy the race.

You were only 33 but i guess
ill never know i pray for you
every night until tomorrow..............

You had two boys that will
miss you indeed but i have to keep
fighting beacause its all right with the king

I know you are resting until we
met one last time i hope you
rest enough because we gotta
joke when i make it where you
are.

So we wont shead 1 tear
or make a sad little frown
because well see you ont he
other side when we all make it there.

Remember

I remember the gun shot.
I remember my parents running to Jocelyn's room.
I remember seeing the blood running from her pretty face.
And I felt the tears streaming down mine.

How much pain can a heart takes before it gives out.
I am sure I am pretty close.
If I could just have one more day with her, that's all I will ever want in life.
Just to hold her in my arms, tell her it's okay, I love her.

Jocelyn, my heaven is where ever you are.
And since you aren't here on earth, I am in a living hell.
I don't know how we can get through the days without you here.
Without your laughter, your humor, your beautiful face.

But when that time comes for me to see you, I will be elated.
I hope you are doing okay there in heaven.
I hope you are thinking of us, because we are thinking of you everyday.
Jocelyn Smyth, you were the best sister ever, I love you.

For Heather

I often wonder how such a decision can be made
The choice to stay here is this life
Or move on to whatever may come next
Did you feel like you were alone in this world
Or did you simply tire of what this world had to offer
Because the mere act of being human
Can be so monumentally exhausting
I can almost understand the welcome rest
That you may have seen in deaths embrace
The chance to lay down the heaviness in your soul
And finally close your eyes
Maybe looking down from that window
Feeling the sun and the wind on your skin
Maybe instead of feeling like the end
It simply felt like freedom
And instead of the decision to jump
You made the decision to fly
I hope you didn't leave this life
Believing you were all alone
I hope you simply saw your chance to move on to the next adventure
And no matter how the ones left behind may feel
The choice was yours to make
And I would never lay down judgment
Your reasons are yours alone to know
And ours to simply ponder
But no matter the facts and fictions of your life
And the truth and lies within your death
You were loved, if not understood
And I hope wherever it is you've ended up
You can finally take a breath
And rest

Goodbye To Dad

God took you away,
it doesn't seem fair,
but in the back of my mind,
you will always be there.

You were like a close friend,
and your paths did cross,
also your absence in this world,
is to me a great loss.

You were too young to die,
and too innocent to feel the pain,
only heaven benefits,
because you, it has now gained.

I may think of you a little less,
with each passing day.
but your strength is some thing I won't forget,
you also have changed me in a way.

I hope you rest in peace,
that's what you deserve,
I hope I lead my life like yours,
to meet up with you in the end.

Momentary Loss of Friends

I believe in you and all that you are
Was meant to be I know it is not easy
For you to see now or for you to believe
Take comfort my friend
When winter calls and the final light dims
And when the hope of hope finally sinks in
That your destiny ends where Love begins
And all that it is, is a momentary loss of friends
