I Love Jelly

"I Love Jelly" is a children's song, sung to the tune of "Frere Jacques".

Bonus activity: Set up a jelly-tasting station where you prepare toast for the
children. Include the usual favorites like grape and strawberry as well as offbeat
flavors like jalapeno and pomegranate. Include several sugar-free jellies for children
with special dietary needs. Prepare a piece of toast for each child. Cut each piece of
toast into 4 squares. Then let each child choose 4 flavors he or she would like to try
and give him or her a ballot to fill out. Tally the votes at the end of the session and
write the results on the blackboard. Was grape the favorite flavor? Any votes for
jalapeno? Discuss why or why not.

I love jelly,
I love jelly,
On my toast,
On my toast.
(Strawberry) is the flavor,
(Strawberry) is the flavor,
I love most,
I love most!

Everything's Gonna Be Alright

EVERYTHING'S GONNA BE ALRIGHT

Mama don't you worry no more,
  we're all doing just fine,
And don't cry mama, don't shed another tear,
we're old enough now to tuck our ownselves in.
I miss you, and so does bubby and sissy too,
But you left us alone too many times,
Mama we'll always love you, and everything's,
  gonna be alright.
We knew something was wrong, but we were
  just too young,
You used to be there all the time, you were
  always there for us,
But mama we've done some growing up, Mama
  don't time just fly by,
Mama we'll always love you, and everything's
  gonna be alright.

Filbert - Fall

It's fall they say it is today,
The leaves so pretty,
Gold and red
Falling every where.

Around my house
And in my yard
The leaves decorate
Colors I love to see...

Sniff... sniff.... sniff....
I love the smell
Of leaves from fallen trees.
It's fall....

The trees are getting ready to sleep....
Winter is coming with it's comforting Blanket
To awake again in the Spring,
My trees.

I Love Jesus

"I Love Jesus" is a children's song, sung to the tune of "Frere Jacques".

I love Jesus,
I love Jesus-
Yes, I do!
Yes, I do!
Jesus died for my sins
So I can live forever
Because He loves me, too!
Because He loves me, too!

Bonus activity: Help children look up Mark 10:13-16 in the Bible, which explains that
Jesus loved and blessed little children.

A Cup of Rain

I put my hands together
And make for me a cup,
And when it's cloudy weather
I go to fill it up.

"Oh big big clouds,
Won't you fill it for me?
I love to drink raindrops
And they love to kiss me."

And sometimes they hear me,
And sometimes they don't,
And once they were near me,
But growled out, 'We won't'.

But if my cup is empty,
And nothing they will give,
I still will love raindrops
As long as I live.

Mya

Her face so young, so untouched
So full of light
She lights my world.
Her tiny hands reach towards the sky
They reach for me.

Trilling laughter echoing in my ears
I smile because she smiles.
Love as pure as this only exists in a mother and her child
I now know how incredible that love truly is.

She is utter perfection
Eyes blessed by the blue of the sky
Lips kissed by a rose

I love you, Mya.

Welcome To the World

Welcome to the world dear one and to our home of love - We know you have been sent to us
by our Father up above - For nine long months I carried you safe inside of me - Now as I
hold you in my arms what a miracle I see - I see your tiny hands and feet - Your eyes so
bright and clear - I feel the love you have to give when I hold you near - One day I'll have to
let you go and watch you learn to fly - Then I'll look up above the clouds and see you soaring
high - Of course you can't start out that way - You'll have to take it slow - But God and I will
follow you no matter where you go.

The Daddy Poems (Memory)

I remember nights when up alone
You sceptered my arms
And I monarch marbled my throne
With your eyes cute charms.
Out of my love came the songs
That changed your high pitched yells
To gentle snores, what throngs
Of dreams I had! Love make spells
And time breaks them
Like a heart. I remember nothing
Where the broken stem
Of our relationship dethrones the king.
