My eldest brother, nine years old,
Thought he could break a horse.
Our mother strictly forbade him.
A mother’s right of course.
Her young son mustered all his wiles,
Hoping he could sway her.
Unwilling to be defeated,
He vowed to disobey her.
He gathered a rope and bridle,
Went to the big corral.
He was there to break a wild colt,
Three brothers there to yell.
Our youngest brother, four years old
Yelled, “I’ll tell Ma on you
Unless you take me up there
And give me a ride too.”
In his eagerness to hush him,
His big brother agreed
And lifted him to the bare back
Of that big, trembling steed.
Our father came in nick of time
To salvage little brother,
Then watched as his son rode that colt.
No one told our mother.
Lead poppin
Heart stoppin
No option
Either way by the time they're 18 they'll have no oxygen
No sympathy don't box slaughtered children
How can see a child murdered and no chills send
They're reckless approach is militant
Layin bombs settin off missiles
Just shootin no attempt to hit foes
Just infantry shock troops
Kids from 5-17 looked at as men not youth
Pop at other kids some never reach their teens
Stationed at sentries
Stripped from families no identity
Happens in hundreds of nations
Fight wars and your family might be free of their depredations
Sunrise to sundown
General scandalous won't notify his mother when her son down
So when will we open our eyes and realize this happens now
Maybe it spreads to America and your son pops the first round

A simple action denotes my miles of time
To hear the word mummy is a blessing I truely adore
To see my children grow to live with timeless joy
For what more can I ask as there hearts I admire
I listen to the talks from my daughter
Her growing wisdom I respect
She has had to grow quicker than most
She has felt pain but never has she grown bitter
I am proud to say daughter of mine
My son has an innocences that covers his mind
He laughs from inside to out
A smile that captures my heart from the very start
A cuddle that keeps us warm he is a son of all delight
His world is a place of excitment that only the very young keep near
Blessings are my young
For a world with not keeping them near is a world of tears
A love that I can not explain it is what makes me
They are so different but so together
Both make my heart beautiful in many ways
That is my blessing my daughter and my son
