Would it be worth it?
To venture out,
to leave our comfort zones
only to get answers,
to questions that will
only get answered
if we take the risk?

What would the welcome be like?
Will it be one with open arms?
or one that’s overflowing with qualms?

The anticipation is eating at me
maybe it has the same effect on you …

All the fear is there
what if it’s not what we expected?
What if it’s not the way we envisage it?
It’s scary,
being positive about our love
and yet uncertain
about what to expect...

I’m stepping out,
are you willing to do it?
Into the unknown
with the only certainty
being our love for each other?

even though things didn't work out for us, I still have
fond memories of Mr. J" :)

Premium Member The Child Who Once Was

* A day after my triumphant battle against Covid19 which lasted for
about six weeks, I wrote this verse. I am thankful and have realized,
never to take life for granted ever again*

                                        The Child Who Once Was

Gazing across imaginary bridge sensing the stark reality of his

              unforeseen last breath of day

Silent vertical steps ascending took a glimpse of the other side

              mottled shades of indistinct gray

Memory of a dire scene skillfully contrived noticed weakness in

              human naivete so furtively deceived

Faint voices while flesh hovers in what seemed like an eternity

              reverberate sound of rapture unperceived

Death a new beginning devoid of pain elevates sadness to bliss

              ending preconceived upheld notions

When dreams enfold every ounce of being then tenderly caress

              acceptance banish prehistoric illusions

Receding waves of enduring torments yielded healing moments

allowing the soul to discover inner space

Amidst the cradle of darkness flow tears of contentment for the

child who once was received celestial grace

Take a Last Chance On Me

Took a long drive, ended upon an oceanview watched the sunset
decided writing my heart once again to you
my last letter had much conviction
read carefully now this needed petition

From our limited conversation
you said your in love
thinking of marriage
your happiness is sound
yet skepticism in your voice reads rebound

does second best constitute what you really miss
I've not forgotten, a few key things you really need
two and three a roof and family unity
the first, love without hesitation

before you accept vows from another
grant me this extra measure
take a last chance on me
let me prove to you I'm true
let me be the inspiration you really need
take a last chance on me

over and over within my mind
decisions I've made
recounting all wrongful actions
learning from elapsed time
corrected my crossed thinking
no longer mentally blind
today maturity lives strong
new direction, teaching, understanding

Past expressions are just reflections
views and opinions, everyone changes
we're no exceptions to the rule
judge me not by yesterday for today I'm someone new
as I'm sure are you

maybe much time has passed
maybe he fills the void in some ways
maybe he's got good intentions
but because he cant replace my crazy personality
you cant replace originality
maybe I shouldn't read things as deeply as I always do
maybe I should get on with finishing this song
and hope you'll come back too

can he make you laugh till you cry
can he make you cry with joy in your eyes
can he dance the night away
does he hold your hands in a guiding fashion
does he inspire you time after time

would he fight for your right
would he chase after a memory and stay dedicated to you
would he write his heart out just to show he's true
would he try to keep you always by his side
would he worship you the way I do

before you accept vows from another
grant me this extra measure
take a last chance on me
let me prove to you I'm true
let me be the Inspiration you really need
take a last chance on me

One last chance is all I ask
one last chance
one last chance is all I'm asking for
take a last chance on me

Taking the Chance On Love

Found in the adventure
When it comes to play
When love surrounds me in a intimate passionate way
Desires become more alive when I am by your side
I feel my wings spread open and I am able to fly
Among the clouds high above the sky
To the heavens above like the peaceful dove
I am the heart that beats for you forever
That shows that love is everlasting
I am true and real to you like the first and one that will give you my all
Will you take the chance to be my all
I ask so little
Just a token of your devotion
To be the man
I love the most
To be the one that loves me forever the rest of our lives
And show me life is worth living.

Taking a Chance On Romance

My heads spinning
I can't breath
There is no way to relieve
This attack experience
It doesn't make any sense
My hearts pounding--shaky hands
Knees so weak, its hard to stand
My whole body has goosebumps
I can feel a throat lump
Fevers are starting to brew
My mind can't make a day through
Without pictures of your face
Seeing you most every place
There's no medicine or pills
My whole world is standing still
The day you introduced yourself
There was a change that I felt
In my life, body and soul
It was like you came and stole
The badness that was plaguing me
In my heartfelt history
Throwing it so far away
Showing me it is O.K.
To trust someone once again
It won't be like where I've been
Pushed and shoved---hurting inside
I needed to look deep inside
Swallowing my hurted pride
And give myself one more chance
At a romantic life dance
Underneath a starry sky
And I saw this in your eyes
The first time you said hello
On a stool so long ago
