She came home to me today!
Time stood still
But those four years are erased.
It’s like she never left:
No awkward silences, just kisses.
Our love’s as strong as ever.
We won’t argue again;
This time it will work.
I knew she still loved me all along.
Angry words were empty words.
All that matters is she’s here: home.

Joan of Arc was burned today
You know what they had to say
She’s blasphemous – there’s trickery
A sorceress – it’s witchery
A public burning sets the scene
Poor Joan was only aged nineteen

On this day its wedding bliss
As Henry 8 took his third Ms
Jane Seymour married Henry 8
Eleven days past Ann B.’s fate
She died of childbirth in her bed
Would Henry have let her keep her head?

Thirty anniversaries full of carnations, sunflowers, daisies and love.
Traditional gifts of iron, copper, bronze, crystal and china already covered.
Years full of laughter, with a few bumps and bruises that upset nothing
Hopefully there will be thirty more anniversaries; you are well on your way!
A milestone celebrated on earth as well as in heaven; Thirty yerars Wow! Enjoy a wonderful celebration. I am proud of you both!

The parking lot full
of all the familiar faces,
we are early -
all the old people
driving carts,
at the door,
waving us in…
we are them too
the remnant
of a relative crowd.
My oldest grandson
has experienced
the marvel
of a household of kids
and the singularity
of just him and his bro.
We don’t see the girls
as much
they’re out of touch…
divorce yields fruit,
but so does time,
and time again
pulls and stretches,
as if we are pizza dough,
puts us through
the sheeter,
we are floured white
as a ghost figure.
We wave with our flags,
jovial, “Happy June 30th!”
as our church celebrates
early, not mid-week.
Nearly fifteen, my grandson
wanders by himself,
with his great-aunt,
with his brother,
with me.
Each person
has personality-
happy, grumpy,
doc…
I’m happy but
what good is that?
Comes in handy
when friends stop
by. My sis
came from her business
and is doing business
on her cell.
The eight year old’s
stomach hurts, wants to
wander with his shoes off,
can’t get his sneakers
back on,
eventually will say
he enjoyed it all -
the fireworks
lit up his eyes
into all sorts of sizzles,
fizzles, colors and all.
And my husband, yes,
you guessed
is grumpy,
and I sigh,
satisfaction in the wind
yet
the importance of patients…
patience, dear.
He’s out of the sun,
in the car,
tuning out.
I’m the cartoon,
tuning into
the sun
that melts.
He’s parked his chair
away from the crowd -
the rest of us.
I grab the chips.
As my hand slips
into the bag
having only touched the first bite,
“Can I have the chips…”
Delightful family,
heat, kids, memories -
ah, the warm memories.
Love it all, ever after.

You starred in "The Visitation" which was an episode of Doctor Who.
Your life ended thirty years ago today on December the 11th of 1992.
You died two weeks before Christmas Day.
You were sixty-two when you passed away.
You were a very talented British actor but your death ended your career.
Time sure does fly, it doesn't seem like you've been dead for thirty years.
You starred in every season of "On The Buses" except for the final season.
I don't know why you decided to quit but you must have had a good reason.
You guest-starred in "One Foot In The Grave" and "Turn Out The Lights".
You also guest-starred in "The Count Of Monte Cristo" and "First Night".
You chose not to be buried, you were cremated.
When you died, all of your fans were devastated.
You died thirty years ago today and your wife died on December the 7th of 2011.
You entertained people for many years and then you went to Heaven.
[Dedicated to Michael Robbins (1930-1992) who died on December 11, 1992]

The month of fasting has come
The month of contemplation has come
Has come the holy month to the followers of Muhammad SWA
Home quarantine is going on
Isolation system is going on
Going on the festival - stay home; corona must be gone
NCoV-19 enjoying the social distancing all around world
Residual homes are now self made jail zone
To save the future lives from infectious doom
Wherever you go for the virus world is now jail horizon
Satan enjoys all eleven months according to Mohammedan tone
Heard that God imprisons the Satan for good praying in this month
But how wonderfully the believers are in lockdown on earth
By God's verdict now the virus is the independent Satan
Socalled believers are living in the penance of undone

Almost fifty-three years ago, I became your grandson.
You died 30 years ago today at the age of seventy-one.
You became sick when a doctor prescribed you some Dilantin.
The allergy ended your life and we would never see you again.
Your death hurt others as well as me.
Your body was in such a bad shape that you had a closed casket ceremony.
The Dilantin was what made your body end up in such a bad shape.
When you perished, almost two hundred people attended your wake.
You lived in Sneedville but passed away in a hospital in Morristown.
It was a sad day thirty years ago when we buried you in the ground.
[Dedicated to Burley R. Johnson (1923-1994) who died 30 years ago today on August 3, 1994]

This 30th of November,
I can be dragged down by
men
that I loved. And they feel no guilty
I’m caged in maturity.
A little girl tugs my fuchsia leg-split
“Tear it or tear down”.
Fear
of getting lost
Neverland
with a waggish Peter Pan
makes promises and never brings
or the world’s much like flame
in sin where men are hell king.

The echoes of the slam still haunt the air,
A limping ghost, the trauma's heavy share.
The lawyer's words, a hollow, broken plea,
Justice delayed, a cruel eternity.
One year, two years, the clock relentlessly ticks,
Three years of limbo, where the spirit breaks.
The plea bargain looms, a soul-crushing trade,
For freedom lost, a heavy price is paid.
Handcuffs again, a chilling, familiar sting,
Rights recited, a meaningless, hollow thing.
The prison gates, a chasm dark and deep,
Where hope lies buried, and the soul must weep.
But even here, a flicker, faint and small,
A whisper of resilience, rising above it all.
A memory of laughter, a love that still remains,
A promise whispered, that hope will rise again.

Selena was a singer and she has been dead for three decades.
She was very talented and was murdered after being betrayed.
A former friend gunned Selena down.
She died and is buried in the ground.
The killer worked for Selena and she decided to steal.
After that lady was fired for theft, she decided to kill.
That terrible woman deserved to lose her job.
Selena didn't deserve to die or to be robbed.
It's sad to know that Selena is gone forever.
If you're wondering when she'll be forgotten, the answer is never.
[Dedicated to Selena Quintanilla-Perez (1971-1995) who was killed 30 years ago today on March 31, 1995]

Thirty years ago today, millions of people were surprised.
Christopher Reeve fell off a horse and he was paralyzed.
Reeve's accident occurred on May the 27th of 1995.
The accident didn't kill him, he was able to survive.
He survived for nine years and he spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair.
Life was once great for Christopher but his life became so unfair.
When he had his accident, he was paralyzed from the neck down.
When he died, I felt sad because he would no longer be around.
Even though Reeve got hurt, he didn't give up, he went on with his life.
We had to say goodbye to him and we had to say goodbye to his wife.
People were devastated when his life came to an end.
Christopher wasn't just an actor, he was also a friend.

I dropped out of high school in August of 1986.
In 1993, that was a mistake that I decided to fix.
I was only fifteen years old when I dropped out.
When I ask people not to make my mistake, there is no doubt.
I studied from April of 1993 to June of 1995 and it was very cool.
I studied for twenty-six months until I graduated from high school.
Some people mistook my diploma for a GED but it's not.
I didn't take the easy way out like those people thought.
I became a high school graduate thirty years ago today.
Don't drop out of school like I did because it's not okay.
(I graduated from high school thirty years ago today on June 21, 1995)

He also produced "Bed & Breakfast" and "Cold Heaven".
His family and friends know that he died too soon.
He died thirty years ago in 1994 on the 15th of June.
