Zombie

Lost in reality,
drowning in the truth,
silent screams overwhelming me,
are my absolute proof.

Like quicksand life sucks me under,
gobbling up my soul,
spitting out the empty shell,
but keeping the soul it stole.

Zombie-like I carry on,
faking it through my day,
vacant smiles mask hollow replies,
as I've nothing left to say

I understand this feeling so well, I put on my mask every single day and go to work, leaving the real me, behind, well done~~
