~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zinnia is a symbol of stamina, a rare grace, Daily memory of kindness and embrace. A delicate note, a celestial being, a dryad, Empathy and flair, enduring charm per dyad. A mesmerizing display, so fragile and attractive, A symphony of grace, pure mystique, captive. An athirst aphonic and artistic aware, A heart so tender, compassionate, and fair. In meadows and lawns, you flourish and shine, Bestowing peace and delight to its soul, divine. A concerto of tender petals, painted in vivid shade, Every eye will behold your artistically savvy parade. Zinnia, you are several things, like a flower, You embody hope, a radiant force to empower. A marvel, crafted with flawless dexterity, A precious crystal held dear within our verity. Hence, this is a toast to you, lovely Zinnia, May your eternal bloom be cream for tinea. May your allure and grace be bestowed upon you, Ever so by our side, leading our goal through.
Beautiful ode to zinnia! You did an excellent job describing what it symbolizes and also how beautiful they are. I love the rhymes and flow of this as well as how youv written “ A mesmerizing display, so fragile and attractive, A symphony of grace, pure mystique, captive. An athirst aphonic and artistic aware, A heart so tender, compassionate, and fair.“ brilliant alliterations and diction throughout “ Zinnia, you are several things, like a flower, You embody hope, a radiant force to empower” how heartfelt and touching is that! Best wishes for the contest
I enjoyed reading this 'ode'-like poem, Sotto. Your descriptive words and images captured the unique beauty of the zinnias. I especially liked these lines: Zinnia, you are several things, like a flower, You embody hope, a radiant force to empower.... Hubby & I plant zinnias every year in our tree beds and flower beds. They're easy to grow from seeds and are hearty enough to endure the late summer Texas heat. Plus, we can cut them and put them in vases inside.Best wishes with the contest, Sara
