Zest

I implore the sun to shine on you again
The last drops of rain wash away your sadness
I do not wish to see you in pain
Please, for you only cheer and happiness

I carry the burden of the pain that I caused
Might even say that I'm bound - ashamed
When I heard of your weeping I paused
Did Cupid's arrow reach where he aimed?

I give to the universe now this request
That the radient light of peace be yours with zest.
