Very different write here, Katherine. The form is more like a Senryu which is about human things where a Haiku is about nature, but the 5/7/5 syllable line count is missing. There are 6 syllables in line #1, 7 in line #2 but I don't know what the last word is and, the last line is only 4 syllables. This is a very clever idea ... just needs a few changes ... smile ... Hope you don't mind my comments ...

Yummy, Katherine. Are you a chef? If so, please send some treats my way. I'm so busy unpacking after the move that I sometimes forget to eat. Now this poem has made me hungry and a simple grilled cheese sandwish awaits. Great work! Love, Carolyn

Got a chuckle out of the ending this one. Nice tribute--you can cook any time for me. Ha! Ha! Good luck in the contest. Keep on writing my friend. Thank you for your kind comment on my blog. Karen
