Youth To Dream

If I had the luxury Of youth to dream I’d dream of a life That would suit me so I’d dream of a love That would last the night I’d dream of a world That would be just right But now in my latter years I wonder down alleys Of memories Where I’d like to leave These memories so Lift a trash can lid And drop them in Walk away and be done Just so So I dream now Of what has passed And not of What’s to come But this will pass And I’ll drop These dreams of past In that trash can Down memory lane And once again Dream of a life That lasts Of love that lasts Of a world that Will suit us Just so
