Youth

Broken hearts will always mend,
while friendships die and melt.
Love is not strong in us,
for we are far too young.
We don't understand at all
and time will always wear on.
Moving on, forgetting it all,
a building and a tearing down.
Stories and words put together
but now unraveling so slowly.
We live on sandy stones,
to rise or sink in the waves.
