Yours To Keep

Why do we say and do those things, we do,
situations always changing, in front of me and you.
The thoughts, oh the feelings they can bring,
make you fighten mad, or maybe even sing.
It’s the thoughts that rises anger, from his sleep,
we all know, that he’s no company to keep.
The emotions, sometimes what a mess,
this is why we do and say, those things I guess.
I’m going to get me a shirt, please don’t feed the bear,
if you wake him up, anything is fair.
Why do we say and do, those things, knowing he’s a sleep,
so if you wake him up, take him home, he’s yours to keep
