You'Re Not On My Pedestal
You're just higher then most.
Your creativity and intelligence set you apart,
from others met coast to coast.
We are much alike in heart and soul,
Does it really matter if we don't like to bowl?
Intimacy was all I wanted when we first met.
But that all changed after playing the first set.
What I started to feel within,
made me want to keep the game going,
lose or win.
I know you can be a witch,
throw me in the ditch.
But that's usually fear and fatigue talking,
not wanting to get hurt again.
I build you up the way I do,
not to put pressure on you,
to live up to an impossible standard,
no one could meet.
It's because you're down,
I try to act the clown.
I think we have something inside,
that gives us a shot,
understanding because you're smart,
as well as smoking hot.
If we find we can handle each other's downsides,
can't escape that,
the upside is so worth it,
Whether we remain skinny or fat.
