You're Never Gonna To Drag Me Down

I am resilient. Infinitely stronger
than you think I am. You hear me, Devil?
With the Almighty God to my right
and my guardian angel to my left
you're never gonna drag me down

Yes, I'm aware of your devious schemes
Yes, I'm aware of your pathetic white lies
Yes, I'm aware of all your dirty tricks
I'm soaring too high for you to reach me
You're never gonna drag me down

No matter how much you tempt me
No matter how hard you try
to suck me into the vortex
of your evil machinations, I will prevail; 
you're never gonna drag me down.

Clasp my feet with your long talons
halfway up the ladder of success;
pull me down with all your might
and I'll still climb to the topmost rung.
You're never gonna drag me down
