You'Re Gone

I can’t reach you
But I know that you are absolved of pain
I can’t hug you
But your warmth envelopes my shoulders
I can’t hear you
But your message reverberates in my mind
I can’t touch you
But my core has your fingerprints all over
I can’t hold your hand
But I will keep treading the path you’ve shown
I can’t see your beaming pride
But I will strive to be worthy of you
I can’t promise you
But I’ll try not to cry when someone asks me about you
