Your Words
Welcome ladies and Gentlemen.
Please take a seat.
There's someone that I'd like you to meet.
Yes, it’s you, 5 years back.
When your life was still on track.
At this time I was 10 years old.
And all my thoughts were as pure as gold.
But now this world has corrupted me.
Now the worst is all you see.
I’d love to travel back in time.
Go back and change my own mind.
I would have never taken that first drink.
I’d have taken the time to stop and think.
As now I have to suffer the effects of that night.
And admit that everyone else was right.
Skip ahead and you’ll find me here.
Where happiness is nowhere near.
For your words gave me wounds so deep.
The pain so real that I long for eternal sleep.
I wish I could find a way to let it all go.
But now this pain is all I know.
So tonight I say my final goodbyes.
To find a place where hapiness lies.
