Your Return

I always cradled the moment
Life would bring you back here
With open eyes, no fear of fear
Of things that kept you far too near
A dying wish becoming truth
While I cradled hope through every tear
Falling forward when things would be clear
On a path from one week we held dear
You came back like I knew you could
Not without fight to let God steer
Away from loss for a gain and veer
Into beauty of finally having you here
