Your Pain My Pain
Chronic pain is a darkness, personally endured
Persistently battled, for suffering's ensured
It's constant plague preys on the mind, goading your torment
like misery designed
Not long ago agility was free, now
the price is too high for a defeated body
The inner-self suffers from deep scars too
With pity and sorrow there,
swallowing your truth
So a quiet despair lives deep inside, oppressing desires for a life that's denied
No one understands unrelenting pains skill, to take a life's worth
It's essence, to kill
It's faithfully consistent, at a cruel steady pace
ruthlessly taking, once dignities place
The depression and anguish won't free you, you're sure
so you can't see recovering, to be who you were
No one perceives, or grasps the extent
So you won't share your agony, complain or vent
For someone's wise words can't understand or feel, that comparing or blaming
won't give power to heal
And to support a response, from them, a hard sell
They can't fathom this feeling, your existence in hell
In 'your' mind it's a place, they'll never be
This burden, this pain, they'll never see
It's really so sad and torturous to see, someone unwilling to try,
to be free
We all have our circle of pain to endure, to think your alone
is ignorance or... martyr
To reach out for help or advice to improve is the only way to sanity
this life to live through
If lucky, eyes will open and like words of a poet
You'll see through deaths eyes, so realize and know it
Things are their best now, for they'll only get worse
Must figure it out, before your journey's end curse
There are others who suffer but still carry on
knowing their time left is going to be gone
Work through your battle, to win over, by then
Take mind over matter, like its something you bend
Do what you need to and get out of bed
for soon, the matter won't mind...
All your pain will be dead
