Your Own Masterpiece
Walk gallantly and do not faint
For the season is ripe for you to paint
Your canvas craves for the kiss of your brush
So paint eagerly but do not rush
Fill your canvas with different hues
Fill it with reds, violets and blues
Fill it with greens, oranges and yellows
Fill it with golds, silvers and indigos
Riddle your canvas with legends to tell
With vigor, courage, triumph and spell
Though sometimes your sky is riddled with blues
Make your painting worth the dues
Make your painting fit for the season
May it be winter, spring, summer or autumn
Give it the strength to brave the strongest storm
Give it the courage to venture the unknown
Write your conquests boldly as a tale
Make your pen a fountain of stories to tell
Make the rights and wrongs of yesterday
Chart the steps and paths of the future and today
Write well you legends of love and affection
For love is a tale far greater than fiction
Among all the virtues, it is leading in motion
It can lash a cold heart without any potion
Dare to walk on track that only few men take
But be cautious enough with every step you make
For everytime you make a clumsy stride
A greasy path could be waiting to cause your slide
For your life can be your own masterpiece
So write and paint well the legends of your piece
Fill it with colors that are worth reminiscing
Make every season worth remembering
