Your Mistake

Why did you waste my time
Half my life spent with you and all just a lie
Like a leach you sucked me dry
Used me until there was nothing left
All the time together I still don't regret
Three beautiful lives is all you have ever given me
And I will cherish that till the day I die
I will do for them each and every day
But I will not care for you
You got all I had and now I'm through
No more handouts I pay my dues
Those monthly checks aren't for you
You chose the grass on the other side
Realizing now the lawn was fake
Now live with the greatest mistake you ever made
