Your Love's a Killer

Oh, child of mine where did you go
You seem so dark and cold
And I am still here all alone
No first born left to hold

Oh, tell me of that velvet fog
The one that lifts you high
But killed your laughter stone cold dead
And gave you tears to cry

Oh, tell me of that place you go
When you leave us behind
Tell us the thoughts you hold so close
And slowly lose your mind

Oh, mother dear, please understand
And listen to my plea
There's a lover like no other
And she says,"Come to me"

Oh, I resist from time to time
For she has lost my trust
But then she speaks and trust be damned
As fly to her I must

Ah, my boy, your love's a killer
She alone is to blame
She will put you in the graveyard
And she doesn't know your name
