Your Love

I’ll cross the sea of broken dreams,
With heavy heart and course loud screams,
With shackle on my broken knee
I need your love to set me free.

I’ll throw my hands before my way,
I’ll kick my one foot as I pray,
I was so blind but now I see
I need your love to set me free.

I’ll drown the water with my will,
With nerve that’s taller than the hill,
With guts that’s bigger than the sea
I need your love to set me free.

I’ll tame the waves with my fierce tears,
I’ll break the chains that cause my fears,
All things are possible with thee
I have your love to set me free.

Roger, you capture the slave’s plight of hopelessness and yet hope still, who prays for broken chains and even to drown the water itself. Congratulations on second place!
