Your Life Cards

Your life starts with the cards you’re dealt,
From the start you have enough,
It’s up to you how you play the cards,
Tell the truth or do you bluff,

And you can never fold or skip a turn,
You’re behind or you’re ahead,
And it’s up to you to define success,
Personal growth or cash instead,

Sometimes you’ll laugh with twos and threes,
Odd suits still make you grin,
Then, other times you’ll have a royal flush,
But still not think you win,

Either way the hand that you’ve been dealt,
It’s your life, your time, your name,
And whether or not you enjoy the ride,
Remember it’s just a game.

And if you lose...hopefully there'll be another game to play...
