Your Letter
I got a piece of mail the other day,
it came from you and took my blues away.
It said you were giving a birthday bash,
I needn’t buy a present of much cash.
Birthday parties are great fun to attend,
if I wished I could bring some dearsome friend.
Ah, little need for thinking of such a one,
other girl than you for me there is none.
You’re the apple of my eye, my heart’s flame,
that burns my mind day and night I can’t tame.
It’s enough you’ll be there what else matters?
Friday night plans it completely shatters.
This letter in hand is shimmering gold,
More precious than the bowling team ten fold.
