Your Girl

I am always still gonna be that girl
who has no need for a diamond or pearl
even old & grey, no longer nimble or nifty
and on the other side of fifty

I'm still gonna be that girl
who enjoys the occasional twirl
the one who entices you to her lair
hoping there will be secrets to share

The one that says what is on her mind
the kind you seldom find
the one who's life you'll try and change
organize, feng shui, re arrange

The one who has her own set of tools
and doesn't lightly suffer fools
the one that you'll plead with and implore
expresses emotions that leave you feeling raw

I'm always still gonna be that girl
the one you try and tame
reluctantly you play my game
exasperated, insults you'll regrettably hurl

I'm still gonna be that girl
the one that drives you mad
the one that makes you ecstatic and sad
I'm always still gonna be that girl

I'm also still always gonna be your girl
