Notes About The Poem

Your Garden - Translation

This is a translation of my poem " Malancha" (means garden) in Bengali. It has been published in special edition of an online magazine - the above picture shows the poem in Bengali on page of the magazine (Bangla worldwide.com)

                    One o’clock at night.
                    Can’t sleep…
                    Staring at the darkness.

Are those exquisite flowers blooming in your garden?
                    White Night Queen, yellow Chrysanthemum?
                    Many gorgeous red Roses!
Why my sky so dull.. full of somber clouds!
Why the stars are so melancholic!
                    Why the Moon is hiding?
Your garden has sublime Dahlias alright!

Waves are lapping at the tranquil seashore,
Azure clouds floating like dreamy sailboats,
                    I am thinking of you,
                    Are you... of Me?
