Your Friend, Apart

One day a word
Will make you remember
A once dearest friend
Inside a chapter

You might have recall
The touch of their presence
Now all you could feel
Is their absence

A once dearest friend
Turned into a vague word
You struggle to define
You couldn't even intertwine

The promises you wrote
stayed meaningless with the past
Maybe time grew us apart
and I become just a part of your story, at last.
