Your Fragrant Words

Beautiful flowers Lillies, babies breath, iris All white As pure as the words written Wrapped, too, in the green foliage Roses, orchids, gloriosas For there is no price For a broken heart The aroma fill my head Daffodils, tulips, and pansies Caught my tears The envelope untouched Scents from all pedals Unleashed the words You could not speak Good bye is all I saw A bouquet now lays Where once you did The beauty didn't replace Your fragrant words

I like the way you weave the use of flowers with the concept of lost love. It is a creatie approach on the subject. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us and for your kind words on my poem. Keep on writing!

This is a very sad, yet touching poem of pain and love lost. You have written it beautifully, the pain in each flower so poignant. Blessings...Carrie
