Your Fairy Tale

In your dreams, what do you see? Do the innocent scream, is it the demons glee? To the rescue he'll ride, oh what a charmer. Those before his sword died, for he's your knight in shining armor. The sugar plum fairies, dance in your head. Hear as the wind carries, sounds of the newly wed. This place is your own, your beautiful lie. You'll never be alone, just look to the night sky. Watch the stars fall, and watch the moon rise. Is it the love you saw, reflecting from my eyes? Will you take my hand, and dance among the stars? Will you help me stand, and erase our burning scars? Raise your head, look to the singing clouds. We'll fall upon your bed, for sorrow's not allowed. Close your eyes, it's not time to wake. We'll erase the lies, and we'll never break. Shall we run, across the field of a single rose? This dream cannot be undone, for I'm the one you chose. Please don't change your thoughts, please don't my dear. It is love that you taught, to rid us of our fear. Promise me this, you'll not think of the end. Just one last kiss, should help the world mend. Memories now clear, taking me away. Don't fall a tear, He'll come back one day. As you start to stir, awake from your sleep. I'll make sure, angels continue to weep. Did your lullaby dream, turn into horrifying scares? Please do not scream, I'll destroy your nightmares. Say it once more, "We shall dance without fright." Our spirits will soar, for I'm your unrelenting knight. I will not fail, you'll not see my death. This is your fairy tale, so don't hold your breath.
