Your Eyes

YOUR EYES Your eyes have gone from heat and desire From flame and fire… In your eyes I used to see warmth and concern I knew it was for me you would burn… Your eyes were quick to laugh and have fun Such humor there, not to be out done… But now – in your eyes – coolness dwells, No wanting there – only contempt swells As your gaze sweeps over me No laughter seen, only coldness beams Whenever our eyes meet, In mine… Only tears.
