Your Eyes

After all the passing years
when your skin sagged
and your hair turned to gray
I noticed something 
that didn't change 
despite the long journey.

Your eyes,
your eyes...
still as deep as the ocean;
still as bright as the starlight
and yes,
still mine,
and mine 
alone.
