Your Demons

I see you struggling With demons in your mind And demons in your soul You want to be free Want to love and be loved And she came into your life Her heart encompassed you It enveloped you with her passion She kept you safe from yourself For awhile…… And then the demons came Into your mind and into your soul They were oh so powerful You could not fight them They consumed you fully But you saw the dazzling light Shining for you, surrounding you Pulling you from the darkness Fighting to free your mind She was beauty and love A wondrous spirit pulling you up To break the demons from your mind And the demons from your soul She will be forever until eternity Waiting with love to help you Break free of the demons in your mind And the demons in your soul Reach out when you’re struggling And she will always come To free you from the demons in your mind And the demons in your soul She is strength, love and serenity A spirit of peace and calmness A warm summer breeze Trees dancing in the wind Surrounding you with radiant tranquility She will always come To free you from the demons in your mind And the demons in your soul She will always come…….

Nice theme , so nicely written & I can relate with this poem but I wonder why she leaves me? Why can't she always be with me? I don't want to face demons anymore.

Dear Sakshi, sometimes the ones closest to the addict can’t cope anymore, the addiction is so powerful. But will always be ready and willing to support and help in any way possible. Hugs, Ingrid

Thank you Muddasar! It can be very difficult trying to help a close friend with addictive behaviour.
