Your Decision

Life by its' own nature Can bring a myriad of disasters Unpredictable, unfathomable, devastating Whispers of confusion in dark corners Murmurs of disbelief in the hallways The silence of a crowded room A cancer, an accident, a mere mishap All within the realm of possibility But you, my friend, my lover Did that which is not fathomable Of all of the tragedies that could have befallen you Never would I have imagined you would end your life You ended your life after a pointless fight Leaving me forever with the consequences of my own humanity Nature herself was floored that day For of all her unending realities Of all her unreal finales Your decision was not one of a natural life
