Your Dead Horizon

Cold cloak chills my aged bones it belies those crimson eyes those smoldering orbs those smoking windows of despair and yet I draw closer I capitulate I accede in the knowing of what is and what was and what will never be with one touch I’m asphyxiated emasculated entombed my ashes barely glancing your frozen ground your dead horizon your nuclear dust before they are pulverized obliterated behind the echo of your terrifying laugh. I loved The Woman in Black....The plot, set in early 20th-century England, follows a young recently widowed lawyer who travels to a remote village where he discovers that the vengeful ghost of a scorned woman is terrorising the locals....(love that type of spectre/woman lol....); and of course in her life, the loss of a child through misfortune. You have encapsulated the feelings/atmosphere well. Good video choice. Your mother? Or someone you know? Perhaps you are the protagonist. I agree with Panagiota's comments below.

Of course, if we are all blown to smithereens by a nuclear war, all our poems and stories are burnt to crisps, which the new inhabitants will use as victory war paint or eat ...;) End the 'review' with an easily digestible and flavorsome comment for the herd. x

Thanks so very much Panagiota. I happen to like this one although it portends misery.
