You’re nineteen now
Yeah, I know
You have a record
 Yeah, I know

Not a good thing
Yeah, I know
Life can be hard
Yeah, I know

Were things normal
Yeah, I know
Life would be easy
Yeah, I know

You do understand
Yeah, I know
How much you’ve screwed up
Yeah, I know

You really don’t care
Yeah, I know
I get that now
Yeah, I know

You think its okay
Yeah, I know
To do what you want
Yeah, I know

But do keep in mind
Yeah, I know
I’m clearly not blind 
Yeah, I know

I try to let go
Yeah, I know
Of thinking you care
Yeah, I know

Your favorite phrase
Yeah, I know
All it tells me
Is what you don’t know

You know nothing of me
And how much I cry
And worry about you
And where you will die

You can’t live your life
With nothing to show
So much potential
Yeah, I know
