I live in shadow, a sweet sunflower sown on the dark side of your selfish need to dominate each spot of joy. Stunted and shriveled my bloom is thwarted, your need for nectar to keep your black soul satisfied leaves me nearly dead.

appreciated how you metaphorically used a sunflower to describe what appears to be a toxic relationship, one that's sucking the life out of a precious sunflower. I felt both sadness and anger as I read your words. Well done! Have a great evening, Sara
