Your Arms

You're sad so I embrace you
'For good luck' I say
I don't want to let go
Pressed up against you
Feel your warmth radiate
Through your thin sweater
Your chest beats against my
breast
And I can't catch my breath
I want to press my lips
To your exposed neck
But I resist instead inhaling
The scent of your cologne
It's been a long time since
We have been this close
You rub my back and I step
away
Knowing that you
Do not belong to me
But I can't help but remember
How it felt to be in your arms
And then life goes on

Awesomely penned this one is. Very romantic and genuinely stylized. Keep up the brilliant work! Always, Laura
