Your Answer

To say that it hurt is a lie.
I had not known pain until I looked into your kind eyes,
 and knew the answer;
the answer I prayed, oh I prayed never to get.
I wanted to beg for my ever breaking heart,
please, sweet, give me a chance.
Nay, a thought.
Please say not again you knew, say you hoped.
 Please.
And I see you every day and you say nothing,
but surely you here my heart.
Lament, it says to me, lament
for those things you cannot achieve
but need so dearly to survive,
to be human.
