Your Absent Presence

Oh the things how we used to do
How we were, so happy, full of feelings
Just me and you

Everything then just made so much sense
Presence gone
Will we ever feel it this intense?

So sure I had it figured out
Lust or love, so naïve
Never gave us a doubt

Put my trust in all we had
In and out testing this relationship
It was just a fad

But now you’re gone
We’ve been defeated
Feelings for you, it doesn’t just belong

Time will fly without you next with me
Gonna move on
Have the whole world to see

I tell myself be strong, move along
Let the memories pass
We’ll overwrite with new ones, we carry on
