Young Girl Near Window Reads a Book

The xanthous muse flies
New book scent and candle wax
Waltz of butterflies
Soft turns wonder at flashbacks
Waits for exciting climax

Delightful work about the picture or the other way around if you work it first. Thank you for sharing it with us. I enjoyed reading it. It is sad that not everyone finds books so interesting. Sara K

I know! I love them. Seems we might end up bundled in a blanket and reading, if electricity goes out!

Dear Kim, “New book scent and candle wax” made me almost smell the room, and the butterflies gave it this gentle fluttering energy. I wanted to step into your poem. Every school day morning, my wife and I watch our 5-year-old granddaughter before she head off to Kindergarten. I read to her every morning. :) Winter Blessings, Kim Daniel
