Young Bird, Fallen

Within My Trembling Hands
I Held A World
Scared
To Share Its Space
Such a One and Only Time
Its Wings Compressed
In Shallow Breath
Heartbeat Fearing Death
I Placed It Softly In A Nest
And Left.

I Never Said Goodbye
