You'D Think

You’d think
With five eyes
They would see better
Than a three eyed crow
But alas
There as blind
As three mice

You’d think
With five eyes
They’d see
What was coming
To the land
Of the long white cloud
I certainly did
Many a dreaming
And moons ago
Warning left
Unheeded

You’d think
With five eyes
They would want
To gaze upon the truth
Yet they sully the water
With their bowels

You’d think
With five eyes
No one could
Sneak upon them
Who am I
To show them
Different

You’d think
With five eyes
Those great pillars
Of democracy
Would want
To hold hands
with the blind
Lady of justice
And guide her
To the truth
Is this not the legal way?
But its not about that
Is it

You’d think
With five eyes
They’d welcome
A Wiki eye
(so much clearer
Than a wonky one)
To complete
Three sets
Yet
They put a knife
Into that vision

You’d think
With five eyes
They’d see
The cancer within
And how it came
To be there
Like the blowing wind
