You Where Here Today

After a year  of running                                                                                                                                          I knew it would soon be over                                                                                                        And then suddenly it was                                                                                                                        The light left your eyes and you where gone                                                                                              I sat  alone for the first time in forty years                                                                              Wondering What it was going to be like without you                                                                    Then suddenly today four years latter I felt you smile at me                                                                               I mean I know with all my mind and all my heart and all my soul                                                          That you where here today

Poet Destroyer A April 4, 2013 at 7:07 PM Hi Michael, I like this feeling. I think this warm notion is good feeling when our loved ones are gone. I think what you are saying is,,, "we should live with the pleasure of knowing "that you where here today." and waiting for us on the tomorrow. Somehow I wish to accept like you have. But, knowing my sweet little grandson is somewhere smiling at us.. puts my mind on a little ease. Adding and keeping this poem as favorite. I'll never know when I need the ending uplifting image.
