You were always on my mind

You were always on my mind
Even though you never thought about me
You were always on my mind
I thought that's how love was meant to be 
I always thought of you while you always  made me feel 
Last on your list
You were still always on my mind from the first time that we kissed
I thought so much of you even when you showed no thought for me
That's not how love is meant to be
Just the other day you called to ask
Did I think of you
I had been to work
So sorry you are  to late 
Now your last on my list 
And no chance of even a date.

Yes it's based on real life. My friend rang me today and again said he was thinking about coming over to visit us but I said again Its not a good idea. We friends and talk every day on the phone but they had their chance and lost that opportunity to be happy and now they have no chance. Now they relize but it's a little too late. If they let you down once they will do it again.
