You Went Off Both Cold Turkey
I lost a month of my life.
Being sick or injured can do that to you.
I could spend another month pouting
But I choose to try to regain my energy and be alive.
I went off my pain pills – cold turkey.
I went off my anxiety pills – cold turkey.
Here is what my doctor said to me.
“You went off both cold turkey?”
“Yes,” I replied.
“When was this?”
“Two days ago.”
“Well, don’t go off the other pills cold turkey or you’ll have a seizure.”
Wouldn’t that have been nice to know a little bit
ahead of time?
