You Wanted

YOU WANTED Indeed, you wanted Your man, your love To be fearless, strong A fighter and a winner Be it physical, in mind and spirit Thinking though he is Not a weakling and a bankcrupt But truly judicious, fair to say adept! Still, you wanted him at least Maybe likened to a robot machine Thus, your order is his command His heart patented as steel, heated in fire Not thereby hearty, compassionate and humane Many times more than failed Than just to stand his ground Solemn in love with you.

There is SO MUCH TRUTH in this free verse of yours....someone has to be the leader and in many successful women's lives this part is HE that u described. Great wanted ad. I wrote one last year and had fun twirling my wheels for it. Gwendolen

I know women like this. They are those kind that seem to get ahead in the world, but it's tragic what they put their men through!!
