You Touched My Heart
I am new to the neighborhood,
I drove by your house of gray.
I loved your garden full of blooms,
I just had to come over your way.
When I was knocking on your door,
did not know what I would find.
You were very friendly~talkative,
you welcomed me and were so kind.
Me knocking on your door that day,
was the start of a great friendship.
How could a garden of flowers,
turn into a wonderful kinship.
The days out shopping were fun,
one day I saw a butterfly.
I loved it but did not get it,
then you went back to buy.
What a surprise on my birthday,
my beautiful metal butterfly.
You knew how much I wanted it,
your love was better than cake~pie.
