You Should Know

You were found from the past
an unforgettable moment in time
seen in an atmosphere of tears
and still you were a reason to smile

Flooded with memories,joyful yet special
covered with the love that hid deep within, surprise
wrapped like a cocoon with the spirit of you
overwhelmed with the feeling that we belonged

Unable to control the thought of you
the desire that's always burned inside
not rekindled but reborn
the love of my life unforgotten

Poor timing I guess one could say
shoot me down, I'll understand
pull me closer if you feel this
but I have not outgrown you

Always deep in my heart and mind
for there so long you have been well kept
untouched by time or the trials of life
you were my first true...

     You should know
