You Should Get Married

Hop on the bus
To go across town
To see my friend Gus
Cause he is so down

I know he just needed
To hang about
So that’s why I heeded
And took the guy out

After a drink
He started to smile
He turned a bright pink
And stared for awhile

It seemed a girl
Had caught his eye
He gave her a twirl
Then he started to cry

The tears of joy
Were there to stay
He was like a boy
Who wanted to play

Now he is married
And never is sad
You should get married
So you’ll be as glad
